“A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance” (John 10:10, CSB).
December and January are holiday months in South Africa. For most people, these are months of abundant food, fun, socializing, and simply doing whatever brings joy. It is such a privilege to enter into a season of rest and truly reconnect with loved ones.
Our prayer is that during this Christmas season, you will experience the abundant life that Jesus promised. May you feel your Shepherd’s guidance in every conversation. May you enjoy His protection, and may you be vigilant against the thief who seeks to steal your joy and peace.
Just as we secure our homes with burglar bars, gates, alarms, electric fencing, and rapid response units, I want to encourage you to also protect your spiritual house by:

Not neglecting your quiet time;

Forgiving immediately;

Placing a guard over your words;

Applying self-discipline in what you watch, listen to, drink, and do.
We pray that God will fill you with abundant joy and peace, and that His light will shine brightly in your homes during this holiday season and throughout 2026.
