Ten Years of Grace, Provision, and Divine Guidance |
|
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His faithful love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods.
His faithful love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords.
His faithful love endures forever.
He alone does great wonders.
His faithful love endures forever.”
(Psalm 136:1-4, CSB).
Our Father, together with the Psalmist, we want to say:
You established Revive Our Hearts South Africa and have gone before us for the past ten years. Your love endures forever.
You have provided everything we need to grow this ministry. Your love endures forever.
You have touched the hearts of women and strengthened families through this ministry. Your love endures forever.
You have added volunteers who serve You wholeheartedly. Your love endures forever.
Jesus, You are the center of all that we do. Your love endures forever.
You are our King, the Leader of this ministry, and we honour You. Your love endures forever.
On 29 May 2015, six friends gathered to plan a new women's ministry in South Africa, and on 10 June 2016, Revive Our Hearts South Africa was officially registered. Those pioneers were Retha de Villiers, Marisa Badenhorst, Mercia van der Merwe, Leanie de Korte, Jackie Arndt, and Marinda Prinsloo.
Since then, the team has grown to include twenty six women and two men who serve as regular volunteers and contracted persons for ROH SA. Over the past ten years, there have been many highlights, but I would like to mention three in particular.
-
The Come to the Well conference, in 2019, where Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth and Dannah Gresh served as keynote speakers.
-
The celebration of our sixth anniversary with a Bible Read-a-thon in 2022. During this event, along with our international friends on Zoom, we read through the entire Bible in 72 hours.
-
Our tenth anniversary celebration was on 4 June 2026, when we hosted a 24-hour prayer event called Into His Presence. We experienced the Lord's blessing in a very special way and believe that we will see the fruit of those prayers in the next season of ROH SA.
I would like to conclude this Living seeds message by extending my heartfelt blessing to my successor as Director of ROH SA, Theresa Rabie, as she steps into this new role on 1 July 2026.
Theresa, my prayer for you is Psalm 40:8.
“I delight to do your will, my God, and your instruction is deep within me” (Psalm 40:8, CSB).

Into His Presence: 24-hour prayer celebration

Revive Our Hearts SA celebrated our 10th birthday with a 24-hour prayer celebration. We began at 05:00 on Thursday morning, 4 June, and ended on Friday morning, 5 June. It was the highlight of the year so far! We opened with the scripture from Ezekiel 47 and trusted God for the life-giving river to flow throughout the event. The hours were filled with scripture, prayer, repentance, thanksgiving, pleading, petitions, cries from the heart, and heartfelt community. The presence of the Holy Spirit was evident. We covered many different topics and involved ministry friends from over the years to join and in some instances, leading a variety of sessions. It was truly an occasion of celebration! We received wonderful feedback and testimonies, and we give God the glory for blessing us during the 24 hours. Our own spirits were revived, and our team is filled with gratitude as we reflect on this day. We are reminded of the promise from James 5:16: “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.”
We thank God for every healing experienced during the event and trust Him for powerful outcomes to follow. All glory to our King of Kings for this prayer celebration, and all glory to Him for 10 years of ministry!

One of the ROH SA’s Seeking Him translators writes:
“I just want to say, I felt so blessed last night by the scriptures you mentioned. Especially Haggai 1:5-9. The Spirit of the Lord stirred me. I have learned a lot of good structure in my church, but I see there is more. I want to grow more.
I really wanted to participate, but the network let me down due to the rain. From my perspective, I was really encouraged and motivated. Yohh! It is a great honour to have people like you, Revive Our Hearts. I am truly blessed. I THANK GOD!!!!”

An Invitation
Come Make a Difference in the Lives of the Next Generation of Women in Our Nation – A “God-sized” Project |
|
|
|
We are deeply aware of the sensitive and formative season in every woman’s life—the transition from being a teenager to becoming a mature woman with responsibilities toward a husband and children. During this stage, young women make important decisions about their values and beliefs, choices that will have a profound impact on their future families.
The new Revive Our Hearts booklet, Called to Thrive: Finding Freedom, Fullness, and Fruitfulness in Christ, is an ideal resource to help guide a young woman on her journey into adulthood.
Our dream is to place a copy of this booklet into the hands of every young woman writing her final matric examinations. Yes, you heard correctly. It is a VERY BIG dream or, as some would say, a “God-sized vision.”
The booklet has already been translated into Afrikaans under the title Geroep om te floreer: Vind vryheid, vervulling en vrug in Christus and will be available soon.
Inside the front cover of the booklet, readers will find a Linktree QR code. This will provide easy access to the full range of Revive Our Hearts Bible-based resources and discipleship materials.

We would like to invite you to become part of this “God-sized” project. You can become part in the following ways:
-
We need people who can serve as contacts at schools, mothers, or teachers who are involved in a school and can help create opportunities for these booklets to be distributed as gifts to matric girls.
-
We need financial support to keep printing and distributing the booklets. We have already received a generous donation that will enable us to print the first 5,000 copies, but this is only a drop in the bucket compared to the number we hope to place in the hands of young women across the country.
-
We need people who feel called to pray for this project.
If what you have read has stirred your heart, we encourage you to pray about it and see whether this project resonates with you. If so, please contact us at sainfo@reviveourhearts.co.za.
If you donate, please send us your contact details so that we can keep you informed about the impact of your contribution. Our financial partners are deeply valued, and we are grateful for every person who joins us in investing in the next generation of women.

Wonder of the Word Project (WoW) |
|
|
|
The ROH SA team is excited to report that it is such a privilege to work on this project, even though it is not without challenges. We have faced some technical issues, and setting our recordings as a benchmark against which all subsequent recordings can be measured, also took some effort. But we can report that we are in a good space. Praise be to God!
During the 24-hour praise celebration, Nancy and her team joined us in prayer for an hour. What a blessing she was, and how she encouraged our team

“Since the water will become fresh, there will be life everywhere the river goes” (Ezekiel 47:9b, CSB).
“All kinds of trees providing food will grow along both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. Each month they will bear fresh fruit because the water comes from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be used for eating and their leaves for healing" (Ezekiel 47:12, CSB).
-
We thank God for the river of living water that brought life to our prayer celebration. May the outcome of every prayer prayed be fruitful and bring healing where needed.
-
We continue to trust God that our resources will reach people and communities that are hungry for Truth and that there will be fruit from every book sold and distributed.
-
We thank God for the provision received for the first print of the Thrive booklet. We continue to trust Him to provide financial partners to enable us to reach every matric girl in South Africa!
-
We thank God for the steady and continuous work done for the Wonder of the Word project. May the Lord sustain this specific team and meet every need they have to keep going forward.
-
We thank God for Retha, who has led this ministry successfully for 10 years! As the baton is handed over to Theresa, may the Lord cover, protect, and grace our team with more of Him, as we transition to a new leader.
